Roihuvuori Cherry Park ,is a park in the Roihuvuori section of the Herttoniemi district of Helsinki, Finland.
In 2006, the city of Helsinki received a proposal from , a Japanese merchant, resident of Helsinki, to build a park,
Japanese residents, Japanese companies and associations in Finland donated the cherry trees. The first cherry tree was planted in the park on June 5, 2007.
In spring, the Japanese festival of Hanami is celebrated with the blossoming of the cherry trees, the flowering can be at its best already at the beginning of May before the Hanami festival. Flowering of different varieties can also be expected later in May. The event is an open park event where you can have a picnic day and watch a program of Japanese culture. A new cherry blossom princess will also be chosen at this year’s Hanami celebration.
