Anstruther is the largest of a series of charming old fishing villages along the stretch of Fife coast known as East Neuk.
Originally a fishing village and still the location of the Scottish Fisheries Museum, tourism is now the most important industry ,this small coastal resort is a popular destination for tourism, evidenced by the many guest houses, hotels and lodges available. The town has a beautiful parish church in its centre, perched on a small hill and featuring a spired bell tower which is rare in Britain , There are many pleasure boats in the harbor, there is a golf course and a recreation center is planned.
