Orbaneja del Castillo is a village in the municipality of Valle de Sedano in the Spanish province of Burgos in the autonomous community of Castile and Leon.
The place is particularly impressive because of its location on a slope of the Ebro Valley, surrounded by peculiar limestone cliffs.
Due to its location and its medieval townscape, the place was recognized as a cultural asset (Bien de Interés Cultural) in the Conjunto histórico-artístico category in 1993. Tourism has now become an important source of income in the form of holiday apartment rentals (casas rurales).

- In the flat landscape above the town there are numerous fieldstone huts (chozas or cabanas) with a round or square floor plan, whose roofs are constructed like a corbelled vault. The rural buildings once served to guard the fields against theft by birds and people.
