Palombaggia is the most famous beach in Corsica ( island in the Mediterranean Sea and one of the 18 regions of France. ) , and has justifiably been voted one of the Top 10 best beaches in Europe One of the nicest beaches of Corsica but also one of the nicest in the world ! This beach, classified by UNESCO among the nicest beaches of the world offers you a range of colours : red rocks, white sand, green pine trees.

A good choice of water-sports, with windsurfing, jet-ski, kayaks, pedal boats and a dive centre. Boat trips visit Porto-Vecchio and the nearby nature reserve islands of Cerbicale and Lavezzi.
There is a large free car park set among the pines near the northern side of the beach. The over-flow car park is paying (inspectors do patrol the area). There is limited parking further to the south, along a narrow pot-holed road, however parking here can be very awkward. There is additional parking associated with the beach restaurants.
Access : Palombaggia is 12 km south of Porto-Vecchio, approximately a 15-minute drive. Location : 30 km southeast of Bonifacio.
