The “Blue Eye” also known as “springs of Bistricë” is a karst spring on the western slope of the Mali i Gjerë mountain range in Albania.
The fresh water spring flows into the Blue Eye and creates a natural pool, where you can swim in deep, icy cold crystal clear turquoise water.
The immediate surroundings are protected and are characterized by oak and plane tree groves. In 2022, the protected area was expanded from 180 hectares to 290 hectares and the protection status was raised from a natural monument to a nature park.
The source is a popular excursion destination, which can be reached by car within half an hour from the nearby towns of Delvina and Saranda. In 2022, the access was reorganized with a parking lot outside the protected area
