Alona, a village in the Nicosia district of the Republic of Cyprus.
The village is one of the relatively high villages of the Troodos mountain range, the village of Alona, located on the northern side of the mountains and bounded by the peaks of Papoutsa and Madari at an altitude of 1200 m above sea level.
Alona is one of the most beautiful villages in the area, with traditional stone houses, there are two churches and a library in the village,the famous modern Cypriot artist Telemachos Kantos lives in the village, who depicts mainly the surrounding mountain landscapes on his canvases.
