Downhill Strand better known as Benone Strand is a beach in County Londonderry in Northern Ireland,United Kingdom.

Downhill Beach is part of an 11km/7 mile stretch of sand erea and has been used in filming Game of Thrones, the beach provides excellent opportunities for surfing and is a great destination for nature walks and birdwatching.
Downhill Strand  is one of the longest beaches in Northern Ireland and has been awarded the European Blue Flag and the Seaside Award.

  • In the series Game of Thrones :  The Downhill Beach is the location for the scene in which Stannis Baratheon rejects the seven old gods of Westeros.
