Uig Beach located on the south western side of the Isle of Lewis , in the Outer Hebrides, Scotland ,United Kingdom.
Uig Bay is a bay on the west coast of the Isle of Lewis. Also known as Ardroil beach, this is the place where the famous Lewis Chessmen were found in 1831. There’s a campsite right above the dunes with parking and bathrooms, The statue of one of the Lewis chessmen is at the entrance to the car park.
The beach is white cream sand and the sea incredible blue, a stunning place to visit and a favorite kite-buggy location, considered One of the beautiful beaches on this island.
